OB/GYN Associates

Women’s Health Services

womens health servicesFor the past thirty years, the providers at Ob Gyn Associates of West Michigan have been proven leaders in obstetric and gynecologic care. We lead the way in advanced practice procedures for women, including:

Endometrial Ablation
Ob Gyn Associates offer endometrial ablation for women with heavy bleeding. An ablation is performed to destroy a thin layer of the uterus to control bleeding and avoid a major surgery.

Hysteroscopy
We provide in-office hysteroscopy, which is commonly used for evaluating and treating abnormal uterine bleeding. This procedure allows the physician to identify and remove abnormalities inside the uterus.

Pelvic Pain Diagnosis and Treatment
Ob Gyn Associates is on the cutting edge of diagnosing and treating pelvic pain. Our interest in and experience with pelvic pain offers relief to women with problematic, and often difficult to diagnose pelvic pain.

Reconstruction and Repair
Many women require pelvic reconstruction, including vesico-vaginal fistula repair. We have had countless success stories in treating these women who are then able to return to their normal activities without limitations.

Pelvic Rehabilitation/EMG
Pelvic rehabilitation at Ob Gyn Associates is an effective, non-surgical treatment option. EMG allows us to evaluate the pelvic floor muscle and nerve function. Our rehab program treats stress incontinence, urge incontinence, urgency, pelvic pain, vaginismus, and bowel problems.

Robotics
Ob Gyn Associates provides advanced robotic surgery to women requiring a surgery. By using this type of technology, women typically spend less time in the hospital and are able to return to normal activities sooner.

Urodynamics
This test helps us to evaluate and identify the various forms of urinary incontinence. Once an accurate diagnosis has been made, effective therapy can be planned.

InterStim® Therapy
For women with an overactive bladder, Ob Gyn Associates offers InterStim® Therapy. This is an option for women who have not had success with traditional methods of treatment. InterStim® Therapy works with the sacral nerves, which control the bladder and muscles related to urinary function.
