64-Slice Computerized Tomography (CT) Scanner
64-Slice CT Scanner technology takes an image of the body structure—bone, vessels, muscle, skin—and its images are transferred into 3-D for a highly realistic view. This technology is extremely quick and highly accurate, decreasing the amount of radiation a patient is exposed to. It can be an important aid in assessing complex traumas, as well as ruling out certain cardiac diagnoses.
The 64-Slice CT Scanner allows physicians to find blockages in the carotid and coronary arteries; uncover aneurysms in the brain, abdomen and extremities; and provide the same information as an angiogram. Physicians will also be able to more specifically evaluate the size of a patient’s tumor and its relationship to other structures. |
